The first project in the ‘Production Ceramics’ studio, the ‘Cortada Mugs’ were an exploration of shape, mold-making, slip-casting, and glaze techniques. The  cuts/“cortadas” running down the cups complement the non-uniformity of the form while enhancing the effect of the glaze.
