Off, Bordada is simply an elongated ceiling lamp composed from nylon fabric and mulberry paper. Once kindled, though, it transforms into a kind of human organ. The textures from the embroidery mimic scars, and the fibers within the paper resemble veins. Raised and lowered through a free-hanging weight, ‘Bordada’ seems to breathe in and out.
